This young guy is energetic, playful, and incredibly eager to learn. He loves spending time with his dog friends, thrives on training, and forms deep bonds with the people he trusts. Once you’re part of his circle, you will have an enthusiastic sidekick who is always ready for the next adventure.
Because Maddox spent much of his puppyhood growing up in a shelter, the world can still feel overwhelming. New people are especially difficult for him, and he needs slow, thoughtful introductions at his own pace. In unfamiliar situations, his fear can escalate into aggressive behavior, making him a bite risk if his boundaries are not respected.

Maddox is looking for someone willing to put in the work to get to know him. His ideal adopter will have experience with behaviorally complex dogs and be committed to continuing professional training. Maddox is exceptionally food motivated, loves to work, and has all the ingredients to keep making progress with the right guidance. He also enjoys playing with other dogs, though he has not been tested with cats. Maddox’s future isn’t about finding just any home. It’s about finding the one person who sees his potential and is excited to help him keep growing.
