Bella Marie (adoption pending)

Estimated age: 11 months
Size: Small, 17 lbs
Gender: Female

✅ Playful with other dogs
✅ Loves children but is very excited
✅ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Bella Marie is a special little dog looking for a special home. She is extremely social and loves everyone she meets, but Bella Marie is really struggling with shelter life. This gal is used to being with her people, so being confined and limited to shorter interactions has been tough for this pup. She is such a sweetheart and is very amicable for routine vetting. She loves to sit on a comfy lap and to play with toys. Because she is so out of her element, we don't get to see much of her true personality. But we know she will shine in a home setting.

The best kind of home for Bella Marie:
Bella Marie is a very good puppy who would benefit from learning some basic manners. She is, however, extremely sweet and playful, so it won't be hard for her to fit in with the right family. She is house trained but struggles with confinement anxiety and using the bathroom while on a leash. She has never been around cats, but her previous owner says she loves to play with other dogs.

James Dean

ESTIMATED AGE: 10 months
SIZE: Medium, 28 lbs
GENDER: Male

✅ Loves to play with other dogs
✅ Good with cats but needs supervision
✅ Loves humans of all ages
✅ House/Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
James Dean! Jimmy Dean! JD! The man with many names! This cutie has never met a stranger. He is always happy-go-lucky and ready to say hello! James Dean is wiggly, excitable, and full of puppy spunk. He loves toys, especially squeaky ones, and will do anything for food. JD came to us as a stray abandoned on the property, so we do not know much about his history. He is great on a leash and is looking forward to learning all he can with his forever family.

The best kind of home for James Dean:
James Dean is a young, adaptable guy who should not have a hard time transitioning into home life at all. He is extremely sweet and affectionate, but he is full of puppy energy. He would LOVE someone who will play with him and guide him through the world. He tested well with cats, but may be a bit rough with them if not supervised. He is house trained and is rarely destructive if given proper outlets for his energy.

Grace

ESTIMATED AGE: 9 years
SIZE: XL, 100 lbs
GENDER: Female

✅ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly
✅ Good with kids
✅ House/crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Grace is an easy-going senior girl! She loves a laid-back walk or to rest on a big, comfy bed. And believe us when we say BIG! Grace is a massive gal with a massive heart full of love. Her previous family was forced to move and could no longer care for this big sweetheart. Grace is a senior girl who is desperately seeking the love of a family once again.

The best kind of home for Grace:
Grace is a quiet girl who will do well in most homes as long as she has plenty of time to adjust to a new space. She can be very timid and needs patience when it comes to new places and people. Once she realizes she is safe, Grace will blossom in any home. She has previously done well with other animals. She is very gentle and will do well with respectful children who understand her timidity and her boundaries. Grace never makes a mess and is not at all destructive.

Jiggy

Size: Medium, 65 lbs

✅ Lived with another dog

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Jiggy is looking for a buddy! She is extremely wiggly and affectionate, and she is always looking for a good scratch. She has never met a stranger and will fit right into an active-dog home. Trust us when we say no one is gonna love you like Jiggy! This girl is impossibly sweet and loves to play. She is a big fan of snacks of all kinds, and she really loves playing with other dogs!

The best kind of home for Jiggy:
Jiggy loves people, especially those willing to share a nice scratch and pet. Jiggy is never destructive with beds/blankets and is house/crate trained. She cannot live with cats, but she does very well with other dogs despite some occasional barks when she's on a leash. This girl is an all-around superstar who cannot wait to meet the perfect family.

Tiggy

Estimated age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 65 lbs

✅ Lived with another dog
❌ No kitties for this girl
✅ Loves humans of all ages
✅ House/crate trained

Tiggy is irresistable! She draws you in with those bright eyes and perked-up ears, just looking for someone to pet all over her! She is extremely wiggly and affectionate, and Tiggy loves a good squeaky toy. She loves to play with other dogs, especially those who like to get rough.

The best kind of home for Tiggy:
Tiggy is quite a superstar in public! She loves people, especially those willing to share a nice scratch and pet. She can be a bit timid in new environments, but with a bit of patience and neutrality, she perks right up! Tiggy is never destructive with beds/blankets and is house/crate trained. She cannot live with cats, but she has done well in environments with other dogs.

Niles

Estimated age: 9 months
Gender: Male
Size: Medium, 45 lbs

✅ Loves other dogs
✅ Older kid friendly (lots of energy)
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This big-eared cutie is quite the sweetheart! He is smart, playful, and full of love. Niles is a quick learner and very food-motivated — perfect for teaching him new tricks and providing the structure all puppies need! With the right guidance, his boundless young dog energy can be channeled into lots of fun and positive activities. He is sociable, sweet, and incredibly playful. Niles loves a good romp with a dog friend, and he loves going for walks

The best kind of home for Niles:
If you’re looking for a cuddly puppy who can’t wait to learn and grow with you, Niles might be your perfect match! He is good with other dogs but has not yet been tested with cats. He loves people of all ages, but Niles needs some structure to interact with small children whom he could knock over. Niles has a big voice and he likes to use it! But he is house and crate trained and should fall right into home life.

Luna (medical foster only)

Estimated age: 4 years
Size: Medium, 50 lbs
Gender: Female

✅ Lived with other dogs but is selective
✅ Does well with cats

❌ Better in homes without children
✅ House/crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Luna is sweet and cuddly and loves to play with other dogs. Her former foster family says she is full of energy and is an overall great dog. Luna is not very toy-motivated, but she does enjoy treats. She does well with most other dogs (meet and greet required) and has been around cats. She has not, however, interacted with children and would likely be uncomfortable around them. Luna struggles with severe gastrointestinal issues that we are still trying to get to the bottom of, which cause bouts of vomitting and diarrhea as well as irritability and discomfort.

The best kind of home for Luna:
Luna will do best with an adopter who will give her plenty of time and space to adjust on her own terms. Luna is sweet, but she can be standoffish and uncomfortable in new environments. Because of her health issues and the constant search for a cause, Luna will need a special diet and constant supervision. She needs a foster or adopter willing to work with Little Victories to maintain her health.

Howard

Estimated age: 3 years
Gender: Male
Size: Large, 60 lbs

✅ Likes dogs but is selective
✅ Great with kids but does get excited

House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Howard has such a great attitude about life! He is very sweet and loves to be wherever you are He does well for routine vetting, grooming, and rides well in the car. His favorite activities are runningc, hewing on toys, and playing tug. Howard is an active guy who had a pretty rough start to his time with us, but we know a great home out there for him. He always has something to say and cannot wait for meal time!

The best kind of home for Howard:
Howard does well with strangers in and out of the home, and he has done well previously with other dogs and children. We have not tested him with cats. Howard has been known to guard his resources, so feeding seperately from other animals and watching him carefully with toys and coveted items will be essential. This is an all-around great dog who will really make his future family happy.

Twix

Estimated age: 5 years
Size: XL, 160 lbs
Gender: Male

✅ Dog selective (No small animals under 50 lbs)
❌ No cats for this big guy
✅ Great with children, very gentle and patient
✅ House/crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Twix is the kind of dog it's impossible not to fall in love with. He is HUGE, but he is all love and affection. Twix will do anything for a treat, and you better believe a handful of drool is coming with it! He is a pretty sedentary giant, but he really enjoys his short walks. He did not have a great start to life, but Twix has found comfort in the safety of rescue. This big guy deserves to live the rest of his life in the comfort of a home where he can receive all the booty scratches he could ever dream of.

The best kind of home for Twix:
We are not exaggerating. This dog is massive. His adopter must be prepared to take on an older giant breed dog. He walks extremely well on a leash but will pull toward anything he finds exciting. Twix deserves a place where he can finally relax. Cats and small dogs are absolutely not negotiable for this guy as he will cause them serious harm given the chance. He does, however, do very well with dogs around 50 lbs and larger.

Shawnee

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium (56 lbs)
Gender: Male

Prefers dogs that balance his energy
Does very well with cats
❌ Better with older kids/teenagers
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained but anxious

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Shawnee loves food and will do tricks for treats! This guy is impossibly cuddly and loves to be wherever the people are -- so much so that he has quite a bit of confinement anxiety. He can be a bit timid and jumpy with new sounds and sights, but we imagine Shawnee hasn't see much of the world yet. Shawnee was found as a stray, so his history is a mystery. He is extremely motivated by food and should be very easy to teach.

The best kind of home for Shawnee:
Shawnee is anxious and could greatly benefit from obedience training and confidence building. We do not know if he has been around small children, but he tested well with cats. Shawnee does well with select dogs who do not retaliate when he gets a little overstimulated. He should, however, be fed separately because of the intensity of his food drive. He loves to play chase with other dogs, but sometimes he gets too excited. He needs the right dog companion to balance that excitement level or to be the only dog in the home.

Zuma

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Gender: Male

✅ Dog selective but much better solo
✅ Cat friendly
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Zuma is great big pup who loves to play, cuddle, walk, and nap! Zuma would be such a fun adventure dog to take on hikes or on outdoor journeys. He has a lot of learning to do, so Zuma will need an adopter committed to working with and teaching a young dog new tricks. Even more than that, Zuma needs to learn how to exist in the world. He loves everyone he meets, but growing up in the shelter takes a toll on a pup's development.

The best kind of home for Zuma:
Like any young dog, Zuma will require a committed family who can work with him to become the best boy he can be. He is mostly crate trained, but like any young dog, he cannot hold it for long! Zuma is reactive to other dogs and will get worked up when he sees them, but he can very easily be redirected. He could work with another dog in the right environment, but most likely Zuma would be best as the only dog in the home. He has tested well with cats but can be rambunctious if left to his own devices. He needs some guidance and to learn basic obedience and manners. Our staff will give any potential adopter advice on how to best set Zuma up for success.

Oreo

Estimated age: 5 years
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year

✅ Loves to play and chase other dogs
✅ Good with cats
❌ Not good with kids
✅ House/crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Oreo is an extremely lovable, high-drive Australian Cattle Dog mix who needs someone more quick-witted than she is. She is extremely smart and will act on her drive in any elevated situation. This dog is not for the average pet owner, but she can be very sociable with adult humans in the right context. She is full of energy and would love an adult family that can take her for adventures.

The best kind of home for Oreo:
Oreo needs an adopter who will not allow her to push them around and will work her mind as well as her body. A fenced yard and neighborhood walks are not gonna cut it for this girl who was made to work! She is house trained and does well in a crate (plastic is best). We do not recommend Oreo for a home with children. This girl wants to work, and we hope she can find a home where she can do just that. We adore this dog and her intense personality, and we think she is going to be a great addition to the right home.

Maddox

Estimated age: 1 year
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year

Loves other playful dogs
❌ No kids for this guy
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Maddox is young, outgoing, and ready to have all of your attention! He is hugely food motivated, playful, and loves to learn new things. His favorite things are playing with his dog friends and playing tug. This will greatly benefit his adopter, as he is a younger pup who needs lot of guidance. Maddox craves affection, but he is pent up and needs a VERY slow introduction to new people. His future family can help ease that excitement with walks and other activities to stimulate his brain.

The best kind of home for Maddox:
Maddox has a lot of pent up excitement in the shelter, which is why it is so important for him to find a home before bad habits become his way of life. He is extremely teachable and willing to learn, especially for food, but Maddox would greatly benefit from professional training. He will require someone who can read his cues and interact with him respectfully. His best chance would be with an enthusiastic adopter willing to teach an active young dog new things like how to walk on a leash and calmly ask for affection. He plays very well with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.

Molly

Estimated age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Size: Medium, 65 pounds
Time at LV: 1 year

❌ Dog friendly: Reactive and aggressive incidents previously
✅ Cat friendly: Happily lived with cats
✅ Teenager friendly: Very energetic and needs a capable handler
✅ House/crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Molly is very energetic and enthusiastic and is very sociable with people. She likes playing with a ball and learning new things! Molly is very reactive to other dogs and has had aggressive incidents, specifically with dogs. She is a very strong, powerful girl who is difficult to manage without proper direction. With the right guidance, however, Molly is learning to be great on a leash. Because of her temperament, Molly is deeply struggling in the shelter, causing her to be anxious and drop weight dramatically. She does, however do extremely well when crated and given ample enrichment/stimulation.

The best kind of home for Molly:
Molly has shown that she is very receptive to appropriate guidance and enjoys clear direction. She was initially difficult to walk on a leash, but with the introduction of proper training tools, she is making great progress. She does well on low-trigger walks and would thrive in a home that could continue professional training. She could also do well in a more rural environment that allows her the freedom of being a dog without constant triggers (dogs). Molly really is such a cuddly, sweet playful dog who just needs someone who can balance her quality of life with her triggers.

Paisley

Estimated age: 3 years
Size: Medium, 50 pounds
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year

❌ Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
 House trained
Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Pretty Paisley loves attention and booty scratches from everyone she meets and is always happy to see a human friend. Some of her favorite activites include: playing tug, short adventure walks, and chasing the flirt pole. Paisley is full of energy and excitement, to say the least. She settles well in a kennel, but she loves being active. Paisley will make an excellent pet for an active-dog home (meaning her family actively spends productive time with her on a daily basis).

The best kind of home for Paisley:
Paisley gets very easily overaroused, so we do not recommend her for a family with children. She will need help learning to walk nicely on a leash as she is very strong and wants to chase small animals. Developing an off switch for her excited state will be very beneficial for her future family. She has a lot of energy that will require more fulfillment than daily neighborhood walks (examples: playing tug or with a flirt/spring pole, obedience training). Paisley will be a great pet dog for a family that can keep up her active lifestyle and manage her quirks.

Kai

Estimated age: 9 years
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Dog friendly
❌ Kid friendly
⚠️ Climbs fences

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This girl is the best car buddy you can ask for. Kai is such a funny dog who will keep you entertained all day! Kai has some nervousness around strangers and prefers people who respect her space upon first meeting. She will be your buddy as long as you give her time to adjust! Once Kai gets to know you she is goofy, playful, vocal, independent, loves scratches, and still has a touch of mischief like she did when she was young.

The best kind of home for Kai:
Kai will make a great companion for someone willing to give her the space she asks for. She is sweet, silly, and cuddly once familiar, but she will lash out at a stranger. Kai does well with other dogs (meet and greet required) but should not live with young children. She is known to climb fences and should not be left outside unsupervised. Kai will need a home where her space is respected and affection comes on her terms. An ideal adopter will be an advocate for her in public settings and will keep strangers out of her space.

Duncan

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 55 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
Great with dogs of all shapes and sizes!
❌ Cat friendly

✅ Crate trained
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Duncan is the sweetest, cuddliest guy we know! He is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He does need a little time and neutrality to feel comfortable meeting new people, but give him some space and he will come to you. Pictures barely do this cute face justice, and he loves to cuddle up next to a person he knows and trusts. Duncan is young, bouncy, and playful, as any pup should be. He plays like a young dog, but he loves the company of other dogs who also want to play. He is one of our best testers for other pups! Duncan walks very well on a leash.

The best kind of home for Duncan:
Duncan is young and adaptable, so with a family willing to put in the work, he will easily thrive. His nervousness can be greatly helped by investing in training and overall confidence building. He should meet any other dogs in the house before adoption and does not get along with cats. Duncan is not house trained, but he is crate trained. He should be supervised in a yard as his previous family said he could climb, but we have not seen this behavior.

Jett

Estimated age: 7 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
❌ Dog friendly
Cat friendly
 Older kid friendly
House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Jett is a big hound dog with a big hound dog bark. He enjoys the company of staff, walks, eating, getting snuggles, and sniffing around in the play yard. His unique howls are a welcome song around the farm. He is still pretty anxious in the shelter despite spending more than a year here.

The best kind of home for Jett:
Jett has had a couple resource guarding issues since being in our care and should not live with other animals or young children. He mostly wants to spend his time sniffing around and being a hound dog!

Axton

Estimated age: 4 years
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 1 year
✅ Great with dogs who want to play
✅ Older kids best because of size

House trained
✅ Crate trained
⚠️ Climbs fences

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Axton is the first dog to say "hello" at Little Victories. He is a big excitable boy who loves people and getting lots of pets and affection. He is a very fun dog who will have loads of spunk for his future family to teach him new things! He does struggle with reactivity toward other dogs and moving objects and is big and strong. With a proper outlet for his high-drive personality, Axton will shine! He is very food motivated! He plays very well with most other dogs and has quickly become one of our best helpers for assessing new pups and their temperaments.

The best kind of home for Axton:
We highly recommend Axton go to a home willing to work with him on basic structure and give him an outlet for his drive. He is very reactive in the shelter environment and would benefit from professional training. His future family should be able to handle a very large, reactive dog. Axton does not love neighborhood walks in an overstimulating environment. He would be more fulfilled on a long hike or in a less stimulating environment. He must meet any other dogs in the home before adoption and should only live with older kids who can handle a boisterous dog of his size. Axton would be a very fun dog for anyone willing to put in some time harnessing his energy into a constructive outlet that builds the relationship between handler and dog!

Sixty

Estimated age: 2 years
Size: Medium, 45 lb
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 2 years
✅ Dog selective
✅ Cat friendly (with lots of supervision)
✅ Kid friendly
❌ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Found roaming Route 60, sweet Sixty is a majorly cuddly guy! He is very wiggly and happy to see anyone who crosses his path, rolling on the ground for immediate belly rubs. Sixty has grown up in the shelter, so he has a lot of learning to do. But this guy is SO willing to learn and will be a lot of fun to teach. He does very well with dogs who can match his play style, but Sixty can be a bully and must be supervised with other animals. Sixty loves children despite his size.

The best kind of home for Sixty:
Sixty needs a lot of help learning how to exist in the world, including house training, as he has spent most of his life with us. Like any adolescent pup, he will require a family dedicated to nurturing and teaching him to be a dog. He does well with other dogs and cats who can handle his energy. Sixty has not had a lot of socialization and does not always respect social cues from other dogs. He should be supervised when with other animals. He has a hard time understanding boundaries with other dogs and would likely do better as the only one in the house. Sixty could live with another dog if his family is willing to manage his overarousal. He should not be left unattended outside of a crate.

Pedro

Estimated age: 8 years
Size: Large
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 6 years
Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older-kid friendly
⚠️ Home visit may be required

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
This fluffy bear can't wait for belly rubs every day. Pedro is a big guy who loves adults and having lots of room to run and play. Pedro likes going for walks and playing with toys -- balls are his favorite, especially large herding balls! He loves rolling around on his back and, like most malamutes, will serenade you with his singing voice. He is such a ham and will give you the puppy eyes for snacks, walks, and scratches.

The best kind of home for Pedro:
Pedro needs a home without cats or small children, but he is OK with select other dogs (meet and greet required). He loves being outdoors! This big guy needs a strong owner who can handle his size. He is not suitable for apartment life and would do best with a securely fenced yard. If deemed necessary, he may require a home visit for adoption as one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts.

Bart

Estimated age: 11 years
Size: Large, 95 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 6 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
✅ Older kid friendly
✅ House trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Dancing boy Bart does the cutest happy dance when it’s time to eat! He loves taking sniffy walks and enjoys lounging around in a big yard. He is a big, senior guy who won't require much in terms of burning energy. Mostly Bart just wants to hang out! He does have a thick double coat that will need regular grooming to maintain.

The best kind of home for Bart:
Bart is a big goofy guy who would ideally love to be the only king in his castle. Although he could potentially live with select dogs, he needs an adopter who can separate him from other animals in the house during meal times or when he has a special chew. This could look like giving him his own room to eat/have special bones in or putting him in a crate. He is a semi-active guy who would do well in a laid back home. He has lived at LV for more than four years, so time to adjust will be essential for this handsome guy! Bart has an enlarged heart and potential mass at the base of his heart. He is not in any pain, but a future adopter should be aware of potential issues in his future.

Pablo

Estimated age: 8 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Male
Time at LV: 7 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Looking for all the excitement of a young dog without the challenges of puppyhood? Pablo is your guy! He always wants to play and can have fun with other dogs, as long as he doesn't get too rough. He knows some basic commands and would be a great dog to teach. Pablo loves to play in water. He needs some direction learning how to cope when he becomes overaroused, but he responds well to instruction and guidance. He does great in a public setting and loves attention from anyone who will give it!

The best kind of home for Pablo:
This boy is in need of an experienced adopter or foster who can manage his excitement levels. Pablo has been working on simple commands and would love for someone to further his training. He is high-energy, but he is also goofy and wants to play. Pablo is dog selective, so a meet and greet with other dogs in the home is mandatory. He plays well when other dogs match his energy. He has spent most of his life at LV, but Pablo could really thrive with the right family.

Sadie

Estimated age: 11 years
Size: Medium, 43 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 8 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
Kid friendly
✅ House trained
✅ Crate trained

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sadie lives for attention and sneaking bites of your snacks. She is always ready to say hello to a human friend! Sadie is the queen of spunk. She is a senior, but she has lots of energy and loves to play. After seven years in the shelter, Sadie would love to find a place to relax for the rest of her days.

The best kind of home for Sadie:
Sadie should not live with other animals as she has had altercations with other dogs. She does well with adults, but she should not live with children due to her excitability and anxiousness. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. Sadie will be a great dog in a home where she can be the star, and she would love a place to live out her senior years.

Selia

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Medium, 45 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 13 years
Dog friendly
❌ Cat friendly
 Older-kid friendly
✅ House trained
⭐ Adoption fee sponsored

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Selia is one of our oldest residents and has recently been promoted to office dog. She loves car rides and walking in the park, but she needs supervision around other dogs. With the right family, Selia could possibly live with another pup. She is a very smart senior dog! Selia has lived at Little Victories for a very long time, so the transition to a home environment would likely be a challenge.

The best kind of home for Selia:
Selia will need an adopter willing to supervise her with other dogs and children. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, she may require a home visit for any potential adopters if deemed necessary. She has spent her entire life at Little Victories, so she will need an adjustment period in her future home. She was diagnosed with cancer recently and only has a prognosis of three to four years. We hope she can find a peaceful place to live out her days comfortably.

Fifi

Estimated age: 11 years
Size: XL, 93 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 10 years
Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
Older kid friendly
⚠️ Requires long-term medication (joints/arthritis)

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:

Fifi is a big dog who loves to lounge around. Fifi is very loyal and has lots of love to give! She is a laid-back girl who loves to be outside. Fifi is the kind of dog who loves to ruin a good bath with a roll in the dirt. She is extremely lovable to those she knows and trusts. She has spent most of her time at Little Victories outside, so a transition inside would be an adjustment. She has severe arthritis that limits her ability to walk or climb stairs.

The best kind of home for Fifi:
Fifi mostly ignores other dogs around her in the sanctuary. She has lived at Little Victories for most of her life, so the adjustment to a forever family would be difficult for her. We hope that would not stop a potential adopter or foster. She loves to be outside and could live in a securely fenced outdoor area. Fifi has not had much if any experience with kids, so we do not recommend her to be around children. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, a home visit my be required if deemed necessary. She takes medications to help ease the pain of arthritis on her big dog joints.

❌ Kid friendly

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Bolt is in his final months of life. He has a cancerous mass on his liver and is not healthy enough for surgery. He is a great senior boy who loves to go on adventures and car rides! He loves people and would do well with older children who respect his space. Bolt should be separated from other animals for feedings as he tends to resource guard his meals. His ideal life would be spent exploring a fenced-in yard for the rest of his days. This big, sweet boy needs a place to spend the rest of his life in comfort. He may not get around well, but Bolt loves to walk and sniff and explore.

The best kind of home for Bolt:
Bolt would do best as an only pet, but he could work with select dogs if fed seperately. He's a big, senior dog who takes medication for arthritis twice a day. Bolt would love a home with a big fenced yard to explore. He may require a home visit, if deemed necessary, to adopt. As an older dog, he does best with people who respect his space and don't force his attention.

Sasha

Estimated age: 13 years
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Gender: Female
Time at LV: 13 years
✅ Dog selective
❌ Cat friendly
❌ Kid friendly

✅ House trained
⚠️ Special needs (Deafness)
⚠️ May require home visit

What my friends at Little Victories say about me:
Sasha is always happy to see people she knows in the morning! Because she can't hear you coming, you can often catch her in the cutest positions snoozing away without a care in the world. She has spent most of her life at Little Victories, so the transition to a home environment would likely be very difficult for her. She loves to play with toys and go for walks like any dog! She would love to do so in a home for as long as she has left. With a clean bill of health, that could be years!

The best kind of home for Sasha:
Sasha is deaf and needs a family that can handle a special-needs senior. She needs a house with no kids, but she could possibly live with another dog if the environment is correct. Sasha has done well in a kennel. As one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts, Sasha may require a home visit if deemed necessary.
