One of Little Victories volunteers shows how to talk to the animals. Leigha Fenwick took a very shy dog named Wilson and helped bring him out of his shell.
Wilson has since been adopted and has a wonderful home in Charleston, WV.

HUNTINGTON -- Every time Little Victories Animal Rescue conducts an adopt-a-thon, the primary goal is to find good homes for their dogs and cats.
But many times, it's the awareness and public appearances that go a lot further, said board member Dr. Bill Webb. As an animal lover, he'd much rather see that all of the dogs and cats find loving homes, but he also understands that making people aware of the no-kill shelter and its needs is also important.
