Echo is a Female Minature German Shepherd that is a year and a half old.
Update on Echo: At the farm Echo was very shy and timid, she would growl and get in the very back of her cage and shake if anyone was to try and pet her. She was never a fear biter! She was brought into the office to be worked with and when anyone would come into the room she would use the bathroom all over herself from being so terrified.
After one of our volunteers spent several hours and days working with Echo and seeing how terrified she was of new people she decided to take her home and adopt her! Echo now has free run of the house and absolutely loves her new furry brothers & sisters. She runs and plays and you would never imagine that she is the same dog that was at the farm terried less than a month ago.
Please keep in mind that the shy/timid dogs that you see at Little Victories won't be the same way once they have a home of their own or someone to simply work with them and give them time to adjust.
Echo is the best dog in the world, she has not had a single accident at the house and is doing better around strangers. She still has her crate to get in if she gets nervous and that allows her to come out when she's comfortable. Think about adopting a shy dog or even fostering one - so that you can see the change. :)
