In memory of Quinn (a.k.a.Samuel, Q, Q-tip, Q-ball, Q-be-do, stinky), a dear and special friend. Thank you for sharing your short life with me. Thank you for grounding me. Thank you for getting me up earlier than I wanted. Thank you for taking me on all those hikes in the woods. Thank you for all the good friends you've introduced me to. Thank you for testing my patience and commitment, and for the tests I didn't realize. I hope I didn't let you down. I hope you were happy. I hope our paths cross again. Thanks for always being happy to see me."
Thank you for being out there Sue. If takes a rare individual like you to have the tenacity to pull together the sporadic concerns of the rest of us.

Little Roo, you were found wandering, left by some uncaring person and did not get the care you needed. Your life was cut short, but you will be remembered in the lives of other puppies who, we hope, are treated far better than you |

.jpg) In memory of Gage. From the time he was a beautiful little puppy, Gage was beautiful, in face and body, and also in spirit. He had a gentle and loving nature and loved two "people" more than anything--his Mom, a black lab named Rosie, and his human foster Mom, Reba. Both Rosie and Reba loved him and nurtured him and raised him. He was a good dog, which is the highest compliment. Unfortunately, Gage had a disease which killed him at the young age of one year. We mourn for him and all the rescue dogs. Sleep in peace, Gage, and know that you were loved.

"You were my heart dog, the dog who knew my soul and spoke more with her eyes than anyone has ever spoken with mere words. You taught me more in your brief 12 years than I could have learned in a lifetime without you...You taught me unconditional love, loyalty, boundless joy, and how to live in the moment. We were your family and you worried about us so. You were a proud dog, with quiet dignity and so I gave you your dignity and your peace at the end. Our hearts will never recover."
We miss you Girl Baby and love you.
Sue, Larry, and family.

Yesterday, I had to say good bye to Sam. He was my first dog, and very special to me. I found out he had cancer one week ago, and was able to spend some quality time with him. Sam and I completed his "bucket" list on Sunday. Anyone that knew him, will tell you he was the most smartest dog, he knew a lot of words My neighbor Kyle said , "at anytime you felt like he was going to start talking right back to you." Sam left earth with dignity, which we can all hope to do. God has promised us we will see our loved ones again..and I know Sam and I will be together in Heaven waiting on me not with a tail wag, but with the full body wag he was known for when he saw the people he loved and loved him back. |

Hi my name is Cocoa. I am a chocolate purebred cocker and I am just five years old--still young enough to play but old enough to know better! So I am the perfect gentleman. I have an ear infection and some skin stuff, but I think they are changing my diet. All you cockers lovers out there know this is normal. But if you want a sweet guy (Hey, I am sweet!) then call Little Victories and you and I will cuddle on the couch!! Oh, bring toys!! To adopt Cocoa please call Barbara at 304-522-7106 or 304-522-4144
The following comment is from Cocoa's former owner:
Cocoa is a wonderful little boy! He is housetrained and neutered too! He loves to be loved and is very loyal to and protective of his owner(s). His favorite game is catch. He will make his forever family very happy!
Katie
This beautiful baby who was living in foster care awaiting his forever home took ill and passed away November 6, 2008. He is missed by all the volunteers from Little Victories expecially Barbara Tzankoff who took a very special interest in Cocoa. She sponsered his Medical Care and provided funds for his day to day care. |

Hi. I am Sunny--sunny disposition and dropped on a sunny day! I am a little girl, only about 3 pounds! I will probably weigh between 12 and 18 pounds when grown. I am getting my vet stuff, but I am only a baby, so it takes time to get all those shots!! I like my new place here and the people. I love to play!! And to eat!! (Although I stand in my food sometimes!) I also like big sticks as you can see in the picture. I need a home where someone understands puppies and will raise me with a lot of love and care. So if you want a little sunshine in your life, call and get me!!
Little Sunny took ill and past away during September. She was found by our President Sue Brown and she has grieved for this baby for over two months. She is now (November) allowing me to post her picture and her story to the memorial page. Sunny is missed greatly by all the volunteers who had a chance to meet her at the Little Victories Farm.

I want to thank you guys for all of the great work you do. A friend of mine suggested I donate money to PETA in honor of Magoo, but I am very fond of Little Victories and felt your organization needed it more. Also, I took Magoo to a couple of the dog walks that Little Victories sponsored. They were so much fun and everyone was always so nice. I'm not sure if you remember him, but he always got lots of attention at the walks because he was so unique. He was a really big Irish Wolfhound/Alaskan Malamute mix. Attached is a photo of him at one of your events. Again, thank you so much. Your dedication and hard work is much appreciated.

Kitty-Face found me on my doorstep when he was only a few weeks old. He was the most loving cat and always greeted me with "hugs" when I came home. He was taken from us way too soon, but was so full of life and personality during his short stay with us. He is sorely missed by my husband and me, as well as our dog Mika, who was Kitty-Face's best bud and playmate.
We love you and miss you! Thanks for finding us!
