Dogs Available For Adoption!!!
Newt ~ Courtesy Post
Monday, 06 September 2010
Newt is a 2-1/2 year old Keeshound mix. He has been neutered and is due his vaccinations. He has been on heartworm tablets on a monthly basis and has not had any medical problems. I have had him since he was a small puppy. I have my farm for sale and will not be able to take him with me. Newt is very playful and energetic. He loves attention! He has not been around children, however, based on his disposition, I believe he would love a young boy or girl to run and play with. He is not aggressive toward other dogs but I do not know how he would react with cats. If you are interested in this cutie, please contact Barbara Bates at (304) 634-2195 or via email at

This beautiful female German Shepherd showed up at our house Thursday morning (9/02).We named her Annika. She is undernourished but still weighs 74 lbs. With her frame I think she can easily handle another 10 pounds.I am unsure of her status regarding being spayed. I will have her vetted next week and at that time I will be able to provide more info.
She has a great personality and gets along very well with all my other dogs. She walks very well both off and on leash. She is fine around cats and has been exposed to small children without any problems. If you are interested please call Joe (606) 922-5756.
Hi, my name is Lucky. I got my name when a wonderful lady rescued me. I was roaming the streets last Thanksgiving, looking for food and a warm place to lay my head. The nice lady stopped and took me in. She wasn't able to keep me so she brought me to Little Victories. Now I am looking for my forever home.
I've been told I'm sweet and lovable and not any trouble to take care of. I love people, especially kids, and get along great with dogs and cats. I know where the bathroom is. I have had my first round of shots and the Vet said that I was a year old in February and I weigh about 20 lbs. I am a Spaniel/Beagle mix. I love to be outside to run and play but also inside to snuggle. I like to go on walks and my favorite treats are raw hides and ice cubes. If you think we would be a perfect match, come by for a visit.
This is Sparky. He is an Australian shepherd mix. He is an older guy- ~10 years old. But he is very loving and has a lot of energy. He is currently living with my dad but he would LOVE to find him a great home with plenty of room for Sparky to run. He was keeping him in a kennel that was destroyed when a tree fell on it. Sparky was not hurt, thank goodness. Because of where dad lives, he can't let him run loose so he is having to keep him chained and he hates to do that to him. He loves people and other dogs and loves to ride in the car. He is a large dog. For more information about this big sweetie, please email me at

Two females (sisters) need a home. We think their mother is a German short hair and are not sure about the father. If interested please call Linda at (304) 524-5152.
The brindle dog is female and her name is Cammie. She is spayed and two years old. A little hyper and very loving. The tan dog is male and named Melly. He is also two years old and is a Corgi / Cairn terrier mix. (believe it or not they are brother and sister) He has not been neutered. He is very cuddly and LOVES women. Both were raised as indoor pets but have been living outside. They've had their puppy shots but none since then. Both get along well with children, cats and other dogs. If interested please call Kimberly at (304) 300-6281 or e-mail

Hi, my name is Daisy. I am a 3-4 year old Pekingese that was found by my foster family roaming around a residential neighborhood. I had lots of fleas and had chewed most of the fur off my back end. I was also hungry and very thin. My foster family tried to find my family, but nobody in the neighborhood recognized me. My foster family took me to Little Victories because they don't have room for me because of two children, two dogs, two cats, and a fish. I am a joy to have. I am potty trained, get along with my foster-dogs, and I love children. I like to be held and loved. I do not chew on things that I am not supposed to chew on, unlike my foster-dogs. I love my foster cats, but they do not love me because I like to chase them. My hair has grown back and I am steadily gaining weight. I need a forever home. I am a sweet girl with lots of love to give!
Baby Girl is 7 years old and she has been spayed. We think she is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix. She can be a little moody and isn't fond of kids or cats. She would be a great dog for an elderly couple. If interested please call Tammy at (304) 522-0060 or e-mail

Hannah is a 6 year old German Shepherd mix. She is spayed and weighs about 100 lbs. She prefers to be outdoors and is used to being on a long leash (since she likes to jump fences). She's great with kids (although too big to be left alone with them) and she's great with other dogs. She listens pretty well, and knows basic commands like "sit" "speak" and "lay down".We are moving, and won't have the space to keep her. She needs a home by the end of September. If interested please call Katie at (304) 575-2522 or e-mail

Hi, my name is Red. I am about 11 months old and have all my shots. I weigh about 35-40 pounds and am just the perfect size to be a pet. I would love to have a home where I can run and play...and I want to get all the hugs and kisses I have missed. I am a great little guy, come and get me!!
A local vet on his way to work found Sam, a 3 year old hound mix, dragging his back leg. The wonderful vet picked him up and took Sam to his office. As he examined Sam he quickly found the injury...Sam had been shot. There were only two options; amputation, or put him down. Sam's personality and sweet demeanor are what saved him. The vet decided to amputate, and called a foster with Little Victories. Sam recovered in foster care and is now ready for his forever home. When you meet him, you'd never know Sam only has 3 legs, he runs, plays, and even climbs stairs with no problem. If you are ready to add the missing piece to your family, Sam is waiting.
This Lab/German Shepherd male (6-8 wks old) pup was walking alone in KanCity; He had no ID and no owner has been found. He has big-webbed feet- may be large grown dog and be an excellent water-sports companion. I named him after Sirius, the Dog Star in the Constellation Canis Major; and Von Schwimmer for the German swimmer side in him :) If interested please call Victoria Elmendorf at 304-925-2904 or e-mail

This pup is very good natured. He plays well with kids. My German Shepard isn't fond of him plus we live on a very busy road, so we need to find him a good home. If interested, please call Rodney at (304) 208-5422.
These dogs were dumped at the KOA campground near Grayson. I am trying to find a rescue that will find them a good home . The wire terrier is brindle and male. He is spunky, smart, funny and precocious. The girl looks like a husky mix on short legs (like a Corgi). She is sweet, submissive, playful and lovey. They are both obedient and are doing well with learning that the bathroom is outside and that toys are for chewing. They will make someone great pets. If interested, please call Tracy at (678) 787-8513.
Hi. My name is Fella. I am a pit mix but they said at Little Victories I was such a baby I cried till I got in a foster home with people and other dogs. Hey, I know it is not manly, but I love people and kids and other dogs and I don't like being alone. I love to run and play and walk in the park. I love to eat. I love toys. I even love taking a bath--hey, I think it feels great! But because I am so big (55 pounds) I would do better with medium or larger dogs and kids over 12. I forget I 'm not a puppy sometimes and go barreling into them! Hey, I don't have the concept yet of how big I am!! I still think I am a lap dog which I am 'cause I manage to climb up and get me some lap time when my foster family is watching the tube.
So if you want a big baby - ur, I mean a big strong boy--then come and get me. I might look big, but my heart is all soft and mushy!! Come and see me--my foster family think I am great!!
Hi. We are Birkley and Benson--Brothers!! We love to track rabbits, play, cuddle, dream, run, eat, and do all the good puppy stuff. We would love to have a home together, and we would be so good!
I am Birkley and I am all buff color. I weigh eight pounds and I am about four months old. My brother,, Benson, weighs 12 pounds and he is handsome just like me!! If you want two cute boys, call Little Victories. Our foster parents are great and they say we are wonderful. They want us to find loving homes--so come and get us!! We would like to go together, but if you can only take one of us to love, then we need two families to call!
Bailey is an Australlian Shepherd mix. We got her as a rescue about 10 years ago. At that time a vet estimated she was 3 years old. She was spayed years ago. Bailey is very loving, gentle & kind. She loves to go for rides in the car & LOVES to spend time by our outside firepit. She would be a wonderful companion for someone who likes to camp or enjoys outdoor activities. We've kept her inside & out & my husband just recently litter trained her in our garage. She has been greatly loved by our family for a long time & pray she finds someone who will love her. Unfortunately we are unable to keep her now. She will bring you much joy! If interested, please call Erin Mogan at (304) 417-2216.
Also look for her friend Little Kitty under available cats. They have been buddies for many years.
My wife and I have a Border Collie mix we adopted December of last year. It has been a great relationship, but my wife and I are going to have a baby and are now unable to keep Murfie. He is 8 months old and is already neutered. He is playful with other dogs outside of his home, but grows anxious when there are other dogs in our house. Please let us know if you are interested in giving him a good home. Please call David Lewis at (304) 688-9806.
The nice person who takes care of me and my eight brothers & sisters, is very sick. We need to find new homes as soon as possible. If you want to take any of us home, or just come by to meet us, call our friend Tammy at (304) 617-4042. We can't wait to hear from you!!
Hi. My name is Biscuit. I am a puppy, and boy, am I cute!! I am a mixed puppy and am so cute it is impossible! I really need a home and a mom and dad--so please bring toys, treats, and all the good stuff to me--and love me!!
I am a Beagle mix. and still a youngster. I am staying with a nice lady, but I'm looking for a forever home. If you want a new friend I am the one for you! Just call Kelli at (304) 512-1986 to set up a playdate.
I am Marshall, a lab mix. I am a great dog. I have been to Joe's and met several dogs and got along just great. I really need a home soon. A big yard would be great, or a farm where I could roam. If you want a great boy, please call Joe at (606) 922-5756 or (606) 739-5014. Thanks--and bring toys!!
There are 2 stray dogs living at the Wayne post office. These are pictures of one of them but they both look alike. I am making sure they are fed but they really need a home, especially in this heat. If you are interested in adopting them please contact Deborah at (304) 385-4353, (304) 521-5967 and (304) 272-5453.
George is a 3 year old purebred Cocker Spaniel and a very good boy. For further information, please call Barbara at 304-522-4144 (days) or 304-522-7106 (evenings).
Hi !! My name is Champ. I love to play and would love to be your lap dog. I don't think I'm too big to sit on your lap. Stop by sometime and we can see if you are a perfect fit.
My name is Samantha. I am an active girl who loves to go for walks or jogs. If you are tired of walking alone, I would love to go with you. Think about making me your exercise partner or just a good friend! I can also do tricks and I am house trained. I am one special dog...Just think how you can brag to all of your dog friends if you have ME for your BFF (best friend forever).
Jackie is a stray that we took in last fall. Unfortunately when we move later this year we will not be able to take her with us. She is a mixed breed with a lot of beagle. She is about 2 to 3 years old. All of her shots are current and she has been fixed. If interested in giving her a good home, please contact Scott Whoolery at (304) 382-7832.
Hi, my name is Matr. I am a big guy and very strong. I am part boxer, and I am strong and playful like boxers are. I think I look very manly and handsome, and all the people who see me think so, too. I love to run and play and still feel like a puppy sometimes! I would love to play ball with you, run or hike with you, or catch a football game on rainy Sundays. I am all guy, but I like to cuddle, too, so would be a great dog for a family. Come and see me soon--you will love me!!
Hi. My name is Murphy. I am a neutered (ugh!!) male and very cute (or at least everyone seems to think so!)
I am part boxer and part shepherd and all personality! I love to play and run but I also like to cuddle and watch a game every now and then. If you need a great young guy to run with, walk with, or just talk to--then I am the one!! Check out my brothers Max and Willie. Aren't we a handsome bunch?
Hi. My name is Willie and I am a boxer mix. I am looking for my forever home. I am a happy boy and love to have visitors. Come and see me soon. Check out my brothers Max and Murphy. Aren't we a handsome bunch?
Hi, my name is Daisy. I am an American Bull Dog, you know just like Petey in the Little Rascals. They say I am a sweet, silly, happy girl who likes to play tricks, hide toys, and flop over for belly rubs! Well, I do like the belly rubs! I am now two and a half years old and house, car, crate, dog, and people trained. I never met a person I didn't like and I expect all of them to give sugars. I am a good girl, but I love adults who can adore and pet me. My exercise level is low--a few fetches, and I am pooped and settle in for a nap! But I love to watch tv on the couch--while you rub my belly!! I do like leisurely walks through the park or down a country road and I love riding in a car. I am the perfect pet, if I do say so myself. I have been in a foster home for four months and I heard them say they would keep me if they could--but too many pets and stuff. So I need my forever home so my foster mom will be happy for me--though she just might cry when I go! Daisy would be best for an adult couple without small childred or other dogs in the home.
Hi. I was dropped because no one wanted me. Now I have gotten shots and I have a name--Sasha!! And the people at LV tell me that soon everyone will want me because I am so cute and loving. I am a sweet girl and I want what all puppies want--love, treats, toys, and love!!
Jennie Lea was dropped off while she was pregnant. She was rescued by a very nice family, and brought to Little Victories, where she had her puppies. She is now waiting for her new home, where she can stay forever. She loves to be cuddled, as most hounds do. If you meet her, you will fall in love. Contact Little Victories if you would like to take her home with you.
Lucky showed up at our house this winter. At the time he was just skin and bones and was sporting a bum leg. Now he is happy and eager to find a permanent home. He is very friendly and is great with kids. His one weakness is the trashcan, so keep a good eye on him. If you would like to meet him, please contact Josh Hall at (606) 922-5925
A mother and daughter lab/collie mix came to our home 3 weeks ago. Think they were dropped. They have adopted us and we've tried to find a home, but no luck so far. Very sweet and starving for attention. Esp the daughter that's less than a year old. Please call Carol Durst at (304) 697-4322 or (304) 654-1603 (cell). if you are interested.
My name is Tira and I am waiting for my forever home. The first picture is me as a youngster and the second is me now. Please come by and visit me. I can't wait to make new friends.
My name is Abby and I'm a Blue Heeler mix. I've been told I am calm and sweet and l Iove just hanging out with people. If you're looking for a good companion, I'm your girl!
These two girls need a home. Both have already been spayed and have current rabies vaccinations. They get along very well with other dogs, but probably should not be let loose around poultry. Please call (304) 743-4235 and ask for Juanita Wilson or e-mail

This little boy is a fun loving dog. Lots of energy. Has played well with our kids and dogs and is probably about 4 or 5 months old. We think he is some kind of terrier mix. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at (606) 232-1815 and ask for Bryan Bolling.
My name is Sandy. I'm what lots of people call a WV brown dog. I like to think that I'm more caramel color (and just as sweet!). I would love it if you could come and visit me. I am looking for my forever home.
Ralphie is between 2 and 3 y.o. wire-haired Jack Russell. For further information, please contact Barbara at 304-522-4144 (day) or 304-522-7106 (evening).
This adorable little guy was rescued by a family with five large dogs. They love him, but he is literally getting "bowled over" and really needs a family where he is loved, and safe!!
Dexter is neutered and up to date on all his shots. He loves all people and kids; likes and plays well with other dogs; not sure about cats. The vet says his foot was broken at one time and didn’t heal properly, but he gets around just fine “as is.”
His foster family is NOT asking for any money to adopt him, but just wants him to have a good home

My name is Waldo. I am probably an Aussie or Heeler mix, but whatever, I am one cute little guy. (The pictures do not do me justice!) I am a great boy, full of energy. I am about three and love to run and play. I would love a fenced yard and lots of attention. I would also love to have a buddy--another dog to play with. If you would like a great little guy, come and see me. And don't forget to bring some treats and toys!!!
Hi there! Are you looking for a wonderful companion? If so look no further! I’m Roxy, a 16 month old, female, pit bull that loves to cuddle. I am housebroken, know how to sit and walk on leash. I am spayed and up-to-date on all of my vaccinations.
My favorite activities are chasing a ball, taking walks and then cuddling while laying in your lap. Need a companion for your active dog? I fit the bill since I love to play with other dogs. I also do well with cats and have a kitty companion, Tidder, that is also looking for a home.
My owner loves me very much but must give me up because she is losing her home. She wants to make sure I go to a loving forever home – are you the right home for me?
This is Baby Boy. He has been coming around since we moved in two years ago and started staying with us during the winter last year. But within the last four months he has become a semi-permanent staple in our home. But we already have three dogs. As much as we would love to keep him we can't. He is a sweet dog. He's basically house broken, with the occasional accident if he doesn't get let out first thing in the mornings. I'm guessing that he is about four to five years old and is about 50-55 lbs. He has been abused by whoever owned him, he's been severely beaten and he's been starved. He is not mean, and is not food aggressive. Please contact Russell at 304-757-8622
I am about a year old, part Labrador Retriever which is to say I never see a pool of water, creek or lake I don't love and part Pit Bull. Please don't hold the Pitty against me. I am a very affectionate boy without a mean bone in my little body. Chasing critters couldn't make me happier and duckies are my favorite. I never manage to catch one, I regret to say. I am neutered (no one asked me if they could part me from my private parts but I have grown to forgive them), vaccinated, HOUSE-TRAINED and leash cooperative. I love all animals including cats, other dogs, children and I have never met a stranger. Forward to anyone that might be interested. For information contact Jacqueline at 304-522-3246.
Hi, my name is Miracle. My mom is a purebred boxer and she had a litter of puppies, but I was the only one who lived. So Little Victories called me a Miracle. I don't know my daddy, but I know I am sure cute, so that is all that matters. I would love a family with kids and everything. Stop by and see me sometime.
My name is Bojangles. See my white dancing feet. I'm a 1 1/2 year old choclate lab mix. I am very lovable and love to take car rides. I would be a great family dog. Take me home to your family and make it my family,
Lacy is a beautiful chow mix who is about 1 1/2 yrs old. She weighs 38 lbs. She is very healthy, a bit shy at first, but seems to really like people. She learns very fast. She has been on her own most of her life, being fed by hotel staff where she was living in the parking lot. Unfortunately none were able to give her a home though they did look out for her and have much affection for her. She is a very sweet girl who deserves a permanent home to call her own
Hi, My name is Rowdy. My owner died and my other owner had to go in the hospital. I was left alone and was very scared for awhile. I did not want to play or eat or anything. Then my new foster mom helped me get over my sadness. Now I am playing ball and frisbee again. I am about four years old and play with other dogs and I also like people. I still think of my people and I am hoping someday to get people who love me like they did. I am looking for a home where I can be a good boy and be loved. Do you need a boy? A note on Rowdy, he must have a fenced yard.
My name is Walker. I am a coonhound, but I got wounded really bad and these people found me and nursed me. LV helped. Then they found I had those heartworms because no one had ever given me the monthly pill to protect me. I was treated and now I feel great. I am moving up in years, and frankly, I would like a home where I can lie by the fire, take some walks, and have my own people who will love me (yes, we old guys need love, too.) I might even roll over for a belly rub. And I will be a calm, loyal friend to any one who will love me. If you have a quiet home and think you could use a good buddy, then call. I really would like to have a home of my own.
Hi. My name is Hazel. I'm the one standing on the porch. I was found by the roadside with four little babies. I have one left and her name is Iris (See her to your left. She is full grown and I am so proud of her!) Everyone thinks I was a great mommy, but I look forward to a little leisure time now that the children are raised. Someone said I would be spayed soon, and I think that is a good thing around here. I had a really hard time feeding myself and my babies till Little Victories got us (because a very nice lady brought us to them) and now I have great food and a nice bed. I am learning to be so good, too!! I have found that people are kind and loving and so I am loving them back!! Please pick me or my baby. We both need a home with someone who will love us forever.
I am Iris. Whatever Mom said, I say "Ditto".
Call 304-743-5802 This is the only pic I got of Hazel, but I thought it was pretty good. Hazel is VERY camera-shy. When she sees that I'm holding it, she hides. I have to sneak and take pics when she isn't expecting it.
We are Daisy and Yogi. Our family has to split up and we are now on our own. We are great dogs and just want a yard and a family and a warm home to come in and play. And, of course, some toys and treats!! We are short (maybe Corgi or bassett mix) but we are an armful of love. Ask for us!!
Hi, my name is Eden. I am a cross between a Siberian Husky and who knows? Whatever my daddy was, he was cute because I am beautiful. I have had all my stuff and been spayed. (No puppies for me!) I am ready for my new home. I love to play and have a lot of energy. I would like a big yard or lots of walk. I bet I could even run with you--and win!!! I need my own family. If you think I am wonderful (and how could you not?) then call about meeting me. (I am in a foster home.)
Here is my Wirehaired Terrier named Jackie. She is a pure bread dog that loves to run and play alot. We are haveing to send her somewhere else to live due to our larger Dog " Airdale Kelly". . Jackie is a sweet dog that
needs a home with a yard and prefer also kids for her to play with. She has a good disposition. She has a winter hair cut now ,but can be cut to be a beautiful dog (traditional way). She has not been spayed yet. Mike and Pam..

Hi. My name is Shadow. I am a beagle mix and about four years old. I was tied up for the first years of lmy life and I am looking forward to a place where I can run and play and have a great time. Everyone loves me and I like them, too!! I know it does not sound manly, but I have a baby I carry around that has to go with me when I go to my new home. Sometimes I cry over my baby, and that makes everyone laugh--although I don't see the humor. I really love my baby. I hope you can take me home and take my stuffed baby with you...I will miss it if you don't. And I would like new stuffed toys, too, please.....I just love them.
My name is Belle and I am a 55-pound, 3-year old mixed breed female (we think I have Beagle and maybe retriever in me; I love to fetch, and walks at the park see me with nose to the ground!) I am in good health, spayed, and have had my required shots as of May 2009. I am smart and learn commands easily. My humans think I would be better off in a home where I can run more, as I am a high-energy dog. I live in a house in Huntington now (I am house-broken), and my yard just isn’t big enough for me to get my energy out.I would probably be happiest if I was the only dog in the house. She is a 3 year old, spayed, beagle. She is very friendly, gets along great with people and especially children. Preferably, she would need a home where she could run and also, be with her family as she likes to go inside. Thank you very much for your time.

Both are very tame. Both are male. I have attached pictures. Please let me know what can be done to help these puppies find a home. My email is

Hi, we are Ellie and Sassy. We are sisters and are Australian Shepherd mixes. We were adopted, but due to a change in our family's situation, we are back at Little Victories. We are about one and a half years old and have all our shots, etc.We are playful, fun loving girls and would love to have a home together, but if we cannot, we will gladly go to a loving home where we can get all the hugs and kisses we deserve!!
Sassy has been adopted. Ellie is still available and is at the Little Victories Farm waiting for you.
My name is Dixie. I am a golden retriever mix and one of the prettiest blondes you will ever see!! I have beautiful eyes and am a gentle girl--but I do have a lot of energy. I would love to have a yard and a lot of play time or someone who loves to run or walk with me. I am still young but have been spayed and am ready to go. Whoever gets me will get an armful of love--and I look forward to getting my very own human family--and toys and treats!!
My name is Pepper. I am a little girl (well, a medium girl) and am a little black and tan mix. I have my shots and will be spayed soon (and they tell me that is a good thing!). I am young, only about 8 months old!! I love people and other dogs. I love to play. And I would love to be your friend. If you need a little girl, please come and see me. And bring toys and treats!!
Hi. We are Chad and Pickle and we are brothers!! We are about six months old and boy are we sweet. We can play with other dogs and we can go out to adoptions and ride in cars and all that stuff. We are so smart!! We would make great family dogs, so if you have a great family, we are yours!! Pickle has been adopted.
Hi. My name is Bart. I was rescued from the forest at East Lynn state park with my four brothers and sisters. We were all alone in the forest and very scared--and so hungry we got very skinny. But some very nice people rescued us and saved us!! Now we are learning to walk on leashes and to play and be silly. So if you want a wonderful friend and you will promise to always love us and never put us in the forest again, then we can be your buddy!
Hi. My name is Drake. My owner rescued me when I was a puppy. My mom and dad were shot and he saved me and took me home. He raised me for a year and then had to leave the state. Now I am looking for someone to love me like he did. I will be the best boy and love you so much. I think you will like me, too!
Hi ...we are sisters and our names are Birdie and Sugar. Our brothers are Bart and Beans. We were all rescued from the forest in East Lynn by some wonderful people!! Our other sister and brother, Jasmine and Stewie, have already been adopted and we can't wait till we are adopted, too!! They say it is a wonderful thing and you don't have to worry about ever being lost or scared again!! So come and adopt us and be sure to bring toys and treats!!!
Emmylou was found by some children in an abandoned house lying on a bed of broken glass. She had horrible wounds. They were very infected. She was taken to the vet where they put her under anesthesia, and cleaned her wounds out. They were unable to close the wounds due to the severity of the openings in her hind quarters. At first we thought that she had been shot, but the vet thought that she had been attacked by a large dog. Her wounds are on her back end, because she was running away. Who could blame her? The hole on one side of her hip is at least 2 inches deep. The wounds have to be flushed out two times and day and she is on three different medications. She is thriving in her foster home and is such a sweet, loving, and happy dog, despite her injuries. She has never growled or snapped when all of her painful medical procedures are being done. She also wears her cone very graciously without protest, well almost; she may turn her head a bit, when it is time to put it on. She is doing very well on her house training, and greets me at the door, like I am royalty. If you would like to be loved, and be greeted by a wagging tail when you return home, just let us know. Also, Little Victories could use some assistance with Emmy's vet bill, as it was very high, but very well appreciated by Emmylou, who would definitely not be around today without it. This is an update on the puppies. These picturese were taken on February 7th. They are beautiful.
Hi, my name is Laila. I am a two year old Shar Pei mix. Though I don't like to talk about it (girls don't!), I weigh about 30 pounds. I was in a home and did not get along with the cat. I can NEVER be in a home with cats again. I did not know what they were and how I should act, so I now I need a new home. I am good with house training, walking on a leash, riding, and I am very well lap trained--I can spot a lap in a minute and run to it to be cuddled. I am very playful and need a home where they want a happy, active puppy. I am so cute, too!!!
Hi, my name is Marco. I was found starving by a wonderful person. She got all my vet work and helped me to get better --and to get a little chubby!! Now I am a great little boy and love to play, but I have a heart condition and need a quiet home where I can be happy and play with my toys. IF you have a big heart for little boys like me, please give me a home so I can be like other dogs--and have my own people who love only me!
Rosie has had a hard time raising 12 children. She is resting a lot and will soon be spayed. The second picture was featured in a national geographic magazine.Just kidding.Does Little Victories cover cosmetic surgery? She may need a little lift. She is such a sweet girl and will make someone a loving pet.
Who is the superest hero of them all? Well I am of course! My name is Hero & I want be yours. I am a handsome boxer mix that is about 1 yr. old & I weigh 58 lbs. I fall in love with anyone I meet & they fall right in love with me back. When I lived with my foster family they said how I was just the best dog ever. I got to eat double cheeseburgers, steak & pancakes & bacon. I think my foster mom felt sorry for me cause I was so skinny. So once I figured that out all by myself with my little doggy brain, boy did I really play that up. I would suck in my stomach real far & I had her eating out of my paw. Life wasn't so good before that though. I had to eat garbage while I was on my own. When I went to the vet they said I had 2 types of worms & they were pretty bad. I got neutered while I was there too. So if you want your very own superhero, call 304-743-5802.

I know what you're thinking. I promise I won't bite your ear (well, maybe just a little nibble or two.) Really though, I am just an energetic, handsome guy that is ready to go home with you. Did I also mention that I am a full-grown adult? Now the great thing about that is you know how big I will get cause I'm already there, my personality is set & even if I say so myself it is a really great one, my chewing days are way behind me & I'll be so much easier to house-train than a dare I say, puppy. (oops- sorry to all those pups out there but we mature dogs have lots of positive attributes too.) We are just lower maintenance so if you have lead a busier lifestyle, are older or just don't want to deal with puppy antics just come see me at the farm.
My name is Bonnie!! I was very hungry when LV found me, but now I have been eating some great food!! I got to see a vet and got some shots, too. They say they will keep me healthy. I also got spayed. I think that must be a great thing. That means I won't have any babies to go hungry like I did. It also means I will be healthier, too. I am about a year old and im really cute, as you can see, someone called me a wiggle butt!! (Was that nice??) Anyway, I think you and I would like each other. I don't want a lot, just some toys, good food, a warm house (inside--on your lap!) and lots of love. (Im not so good with other dogs though, so a one dog family would be perfect for me!)
Hi. My name is Elton. I am named after Elton John, the rock star, because when I am all well and not as scared, I will be a star, too. I am a golden mix and a pretty big guy, or will be with a bunch more food! I had a really bad eye infection when Little Victories found me, but if you look at the pictures at the bottom of the next page, you can see how sick I was and how great I look now! Come to think of it, I am beginning to look like a rock star already!! I am about two or three. I had a very bad life, but now things are looking up. Some say I have sad eyes, but that is because of all the bad memories. I would like to make some new memories with you! Please call and adopt me. 743-5802.
This is a new picture of Elton taken this week (10/9/07). He is really looking good and is waiting for you to call and adopt him. Go to the next page for a couple more pictures of me!!
Hi, my name is Socks!! I presume it is because I have four white feet. (Little Victories people are really original, aren't they?)I am a great boy, about one year old, and just as cute as I can be. And modest, too. I am great with people and other dogs. I just need my own forever home so I can have someone to play ball, take walks, and, well, cuddle. (Even though that may not be too manly...) I will be the perfect friend for you and your family. Just give me a chance!!
